Dave and Donnelle have been married for 17 years and have three children. They both graduated from Evangel University. Donnelle graduated with a BA with majors in accounting and computer science and is a CPA. They met on the job in Houston, Texas working for Exxon. They spent one summer in Alaska working on the Exxon Valdez oil spill, which ultimately left them wanting to move somewhere closer to the mountains. They moved to Colorado in 1991, and love everything the Rocky Mountains have to offer: hunting, fishing, hiking, backpacking, and skiing.
Donnelle is the director of worship ministry at Parker Christian Center. She considers it a privilege to lead other believers in Christ in worship and challenge them to know God more intimately. She longs for God to daily make her heart like His, and to have a heart of worship. She has served God since she was small, and thanks God for the Christian heritage her family gave to her (priceless). She has known what it is to embrace brokenness and lean on His forgiveness.
One of her favorite scripture verses is in Psalm 139 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Her favorite sermon ever heard was on three types of Christians in this world: 1) Quitters 2) Campers and 3) Climbers. The legacy she longs to leave her kids is to always keep climbing spiritually in life; to put her hand to the plow, obey God’s still small voice and anxiously await the day He says, “well done thou good and faithful servant”.
